STAFFORD, Va. – Commercial Window Shield has been awarded a safety and security installation project for the Stafford County Public Schools system.
The project, Phase 2 of an overall school security plan, involves the installation of 15-mil safety and security window film with a wet glaze attachment system on all entryway glass at nine schools in the Stafford system.
Earlier in 2025, Commercial Window Shield installed the same 15-mil safety and security window film, also with a wet glaze attachment system, at eight Stafford system schools.
The Phase 2 project is underway and is expected to be completed early in 2026. A safety and security grant from the state was secured by Stafford schools to fund the projects.
Commercial Window Shield has been at the forefront of the nation’s school security movement as a security film installer over the past decade. Recent projects include installing 33,000 sq. ft. of safety and security window film in 25 buildings at Galena Park ISD in suburban Houston and 45,000 sq. ft. of security film at South San Antonio ISD.
Including the Stafford schools project, the company has protected the glass in more than 450 school buildings in 12 states.
Elsewhere, the company has completed safety and security film installation projects at Geneva, Minooka and Lake Zurich school districts in suburban Chicago; Calvert, St. Mary’s and Carroll County [Md.] Public Schools; Mechanicsburg and Bath Local Schools, near Lima, Ohio; Bellmore and Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools, N.Y.; Hartford, Glastonbury and Simsbury school districts in Connecticut; Norfolk and Henry County in Virginia; Beaverton, Ore.; Comanche Public Schools, Comanche, Okla.; Lansdale, Pa.; and Katy, Rockwell and San Antonio school districts in Texas.
